Some rare book porn:

Oh baby. Tres hott, no? This was found in the attic of a very old Connecticut saltbox. A tiny book bound in calf that would fit nicely in a back pocket. It is an alchemy text from 1616 written during the era when the arcane, hermetic science of alchemy was transitioning into modern empirical chemistry. Inside is an early treatise on what 170 years later would become known as 'oxygene'. Ok, I'm really turned on now. The inside covers and title page are graffitied with past owners' signatures scripted in the most impossible calligraphy(pantpant). I've been searching all day and have found only three other copies known to exist in the world, all of them in institutions.
